UPDATE: Spox: Putin to deliver address to nation in several hours

MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will deliver an address to the nation on the coronavirus pandemic, it will be broadcast on television in several hours, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

The Federation Council’s Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said that Putin will present measures for supporting the national economy amid the spread of coronavirus.

Peskov also said the Russian government will use all available tools to help everyone who finds themselves in a difficult life situation due to the crisis.

“Of course, the government is discussing and intends to provide help to everyone who finds themselves in a difficult life situation because of the crisis,” he said.
